I tried it mostly to see what the fuss was and to add a technique to my skill set.

As my fiance can attest, I exclaimed many times while trying this out, "honestly, why not just learn to knit with needles???"

It is still my belief that if you are a crocheter who wants to learn to knit, your best bet is to start with short needles or circulars and spend a little extra time figuring out continental style.

I too have been curious as the buzz surrounding knooking. I almost thought it referred to the knook by barnes and noble LOL
Not sure why you would do this if you know how to knit other than like you said it helps crocheters knit. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your continued adventures with this.

Finally catching up on some of my RSS feed subscriptions today and came across this post of yours. Your nephew's reaction to your wonderful blanket just made my day.

Generaly, I don't sell my crocheted items. I don't believe it's possible to make any money at it - I am the fastest crocheter I know, and I still am not fast enough to make minimum wage doing it (and for a lot of items, I feel minimum wage is criminally low). For example, considering the cost of the yarn and the time it took to make it, the Spiderman blanket would need to sell for at least $200 just to "break even".

Your most cost-effective option by far is to learn to crochet - that's what I did! :-)

Love your blankets.
Was wondering if you ever make them and sell them?
I am very interested in the spiderman one for my 7 year old grandson.

Thank You
