Finishing School

I’m a bit late on this, but our next challenge is a bit of a doozy!

This time around, we’re in a finishing mood! Finish those WIP’s! Finish those patterns! Finish that stash organizing! Whatever makes sense to you!

Personally, I’ve started by organizing my WIP pile (it turns out there was a whole other couch under there!)

… and hopefully finishing off some patterns I’ve been working on.

I’m going to make this a two-month challenge, so be ambitious!

  1. Oy! This might be the most challenging of the challenges! I have at least 4 WIP’s within easy reach, never mind the ones tucked up in the closet upstairs!

  2. Ooh! I’m already kind of in this mode. I’m working on a baby blanket now, but I’ve pulled out a big granny blanket I started a couple years ago, and it’s been riding around in the truck with me so I can get back to it as soon as I finish this one. I’ve also got a bunch of 8 inch squares in the works, and have those stashed under the desk in my office. As soon as Hobby Lobby gets more of the yellow yarn I need, I’ll be able to finish those off and turn them into a blanket (it’s a patchwork pattern, with diagonal lines of each color, and the yellow is half the blanket, so I can’t even start joining until I get it). I’ve been finishing off projects since November or so, and I’m finally down to those three. Next step, restoring a WIP that my adopted grandma started and set aside after her husband died. It sat in a trash bag for over a decade, and when she passed away, it was given to me to see if I could fix the damage from mice and get a border on it. It’ll be a lovely couch cover for my adopted parents once it’s done. 🙂
