		<description>I had thought of that.  I spent several days researching this (for those who want a quick trip to the front of the line, knitting needles and crochet hooks are listed under &quot;penetrating objects&quot;).  Crochet hooks are allowed, but pointy scissors aren&#039;t.  I&#039;m planning on buying some safety scissors on the way home from work tonight.

In the event that they don&#039;t let me bring the hook on board, I have a back up plan that involves mailing to my parents whatever they won&#039;t let me take and reading a book.  (or possibly knitting with pencils... not sure what the difference in danger is between knitting needles and pencils, but one can knit with both!)</description>
