Ongoing Project 1

I have several projects on the go. The first is a charity project facilitated by my Mom’s sorority. We’re making hats, scarves, and mitts for elementary school-aged children.

Since Mom neither knits nor crochets, she buys the yarn and gives it to me to make things.

Some of my first hats using the Knifty Knitter round looms:

And a few more:

One made out of left over scraps:

Recent hats since the dawn of the “Pattern”:

Here is the pattern for your enjoyment: Use the red round loom and thick yarn. E-wrap until your fabric measures 6 inches, fold the bottom up and put the first loops back on the loom (careful not to twist), lift bottom loops over top loops, then continue e-wrapping until the hat (not including the brim) measures 6 inches. Drawstring cast off. Weave in ends.

I recently acquired a lot of yarn to make more of these, so look forward to seeing more of these!

I like the hat you made for me :) That thick band around the bottom keeps me ears warm. Ian is very happy with his too.
